Eureka Concrete, concreteeureka.com, team@concreteeureka.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Eureka Concrete website and any estimate or work you ask us for. By using our website, contacting us or booking a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you do.

When we give you a written estimate or contract for a job, its terms apply to that job too. If the written contract and this page ever disagree, the written contract wins because it's the one built for your project.

What we do

Eureka Concrete is a concrete contractor in Eureka, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, retaining walls, footings and foundations, along with stamped and decorative work, foundation raising and concrete cutting.

You can read more about who we are on our About page. The descriptions on this site are general. The exact work on your job is what's written in your estimate or contract.

Estimates and pricing

We give free on-site estimates, and asking for one puts you under no obligation. The price depends on what we see at your house, such as the size of the area, how much old concrete comes out, what the ground underneath is like, how the water drains and the finish you pick.

Some things only show up once the old slab is out, like soft or wet soil, buried debris or roots. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we'll stop, show you and get your OK before we do the extra work.

An estimate holds for the time written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have changed, so we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We set a start date and a pour date with you, but weather decides a lot in this trade. If rain or other conditions would hurt the concrete, we'll move the pour and tell you as soon as we know, because a slab poured in the wrong conditions won't hold up the way it should.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us or use the contact form as early as you can. Once materials are ordered or delivered for your job, you may owe for those costs as your written contract sets out.

Your part of the job

We need clear access to the work area and a way in for our trucks and equipment. Please tell us about anything buried that you know of, such as sprinkler lines, drain pipes or septic parts, so we can work around it.

Fresh concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens to full strength. Keep people, pets and cars off it for as long as we tell you, because damage from early use isn't covered by our guarantee.

Payment

Payment amounts, due dates and accepted methods are listed in your written estimate or contract. You agree to pay those amounts when they're due.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled. We'll always talk with you first, because most payment problems get sorted out with a phone call.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and work with you to fix it.

Concrete is a natural material, and some things are normal and not defects. Small hairline cracks can show up even on a well-built slab, which is why we cut control joints, grooves that give a crack a planned place to form. Slight differences in color and texture from one pour to the next are normal too.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from loads heavier than the slab was built for, from ground movement, tree roots or water problems outside our work area, from chemicals or misuse, or from not following the care instructions we give you.

Apart from what we promise in writing, the information on this website is provided as is. It's general information, not advice for your particular property and not a quote.

Limits on our liability

We're fully licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work as described above. To the fullest extent California law allows, Eureka Concrete isn't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, that come from our work or from using this website.

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits any right you have that California law says can't be limited.

If we disagree

If you have a problem with our work or a bill, please call us first at (707) 572-3701. Most issues get settled when we come back out and look at the job together.

If we can't work it out between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Any court case will be heard in the state courts that serve Eureka, California.

Governing law

These terms and any job we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version will always be on this page. A job you've already signed for stays under the terms that applied when you signed, unless we both agree in writing to change them.
